While browsing the code I stumbled over this unnecessary clone.

Sorry for this small and not really substantial MR.
I am fine if you just close it and do it in one of another commits.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
